Next week’s dates to remember:
Wacky Dress Day: If you dress in Wacky fashion on Tuesday, May 20th, then
NO uniform is required. All dress code rules must be followed and no dyed
hair or hair colorings are allowed.
Volunteer Luncheon:
To honor the volunteers that have put in their minimum of 20 hours volunteer
time, there is a luncheon on Tuesday, May 20th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30
p.m. This is an invitation only event.
Special Day:
Wednesday, May 21st is designated as “Special Day”. Teachers
will inform their students about this and look for the flyer that will
be coming home soon.
Middle School Academic Awards:
Grades 6,7 and 8 will have their Award Ceremony in the Multipurpose Room
on Thursday, May 22nd beginning at 8:15 a.m. Parents and family are welcome
to join.
Morning Award Ceremony:
We will recognize the May Students of the Month and Perfect Attendance
Awards on Friday, May 23rd at 8 a.m. in the morning. The awards will be
out on the playground and all are invited to attend.
4.0 Breakfast:
All middle school students with a 4.0 grade point average will be treated
to breakfast with the directors on Friday, May 23rd, immediately following
the morning award ceremony.
2nd Semester Awards:
The following award ceremonies will take place on Friday, May 23rd.
Grades 1, 2, 2/3 and 3 will have their awards ceremony in their classrooms
immediately following the Morning Award Ceremony.
Grades 4 and 5 will have their award ceremony in the Multipurpose Room
at 9 a.m.
Kindergarten’s ceremony will take place in the Multipurpose Room
at 10 a.m.
Last Day of School:
All students will have free dress day on Friday, May 23rd. This also is
a minimum day and school will be let out at 12:30 p.m.
8th Grade Promotion:
The 8th grade promotion ceremony will take place in the Multipurpose Room
on Friday, May 23rd at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
After school Clubs:
There will be no more jump rope, choir, band or piano after school until
next year.
Yearbooks:
We expect yearbooks to arrive and be ready for distribution on Monday,
May 19th. A few extra books will be available for sale in the office on
a first come first serve basis, once the yearbooks arrive.
Thank You:
Congratulations and thank you to the Arsenault, Land and Baar families
for donating books to the Heritage Library in honor of their student’s
special days. Happy Birthday! Yocelyn, Aidan and Ben.
Winners:
Congratulations to Lauren Welch and Dolly McNelly for being winners in
the Kiwanis Club’s essay contest. The there was “What I want
to be when I grow up.” Lauren won 1st place and received a $50 prize.
Dolly received an Honorable Mention award and will receive $20. Both girls
will attend a luncheon on June 12th.
