7th Grade Field Trip:
The 7th grade is scheduled for a field trip to Forest Home Camp, March 12-14th.
The estimated cost is $225.

Dr. Seuss Day:
The National Education Association’s 10th Annual Observation of NEA’s Read Across America is calling all of America’s children, both young and old, to reward their learning by celebrating the joys of reading with Dr. Seuss on his 104th birthday. We need guest readers for half hour blocks to read aloud to students in grades K-4 on March 3rd, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and going to 2:30 p.m. If you are interested, please contact Karen Kajita (kkajita@echs.org) to schedule a time to read.

PAB Elections:
On or before 3:30 p.m., on March 3, 2008, any person who wishes to be a member of the Heritage K-8 Charter School Parent Advisory Board must submit to the secretary of the Board a maximum one-page statement setting forth his or her history and reasons for wanting to be on the Board. Statements can be placed in the Board mailbox located in the front office. If you wish to confirm receipt, please leave your telephone number so the secretary can call you.

ECHS Cheer Tryouts:
Current 8th grade students that will be attending Escondido Charter next year, and are interested in cheering for the White Tigers are invited to attend a parent informational meeting. The meeting is Monday, March 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in the American Spirit Theater. It is mandatory that parents attend because we will be discussing very important details regarding the 08-09 Cheer Season.

Yearbooks:
Parents, don’t miss out on capturing your child’s memories. Order your Heritage K-8 Yearbook now. Order forms are available in the office. Yearbooks are priced at $15.

The Yearbook Committee still needs all of the shutterbug parents to continue to drop off your child’s class photo CD’s. We really appreciate all of the submissions so far, and we know this year’s yearbook is going to turn out well. Don’t forget to separate the pictures into different files, labeled by the class and event on the CD. Thank you for your participation.

Lottery 2008:
If you have a sibling that is not enrolled at Heritage K-8 and you would like them to attend, you must sign them up for the lottery. Questions? Please contact Judy Brooks at (760) 737-3154.
Cut off date to sign up for Heritage K-8 lottery has been extended until the close of business on Thursday, March 6th.
