Holiday:
There will be no school on Monday, November 12th in honor of Veteran’s
Day.
We will break for Thanksgiving Vacation on November 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
Choir Concert:
Come join us at the new Escondido Charter High School American Spirit
Theater on Friday, November 16th at 7 p.m. for our “The Magnificent
7” Heritage student choir performance. The evening will consist
of songs from 7 great composers.
Mark your Calendar:
Jump Rope & EduDance Showcase, the evening of Tuesday, December 11th.
Heritage Holiday Music Program, “Sounds of the Seasons”, the
evening of Friday, December 14th.
Parents’ Night Out:
Get a jump on your Christmas shopping or just enjoy an evening out while
your kids have fun here at Heritage during Parent’s night out. Two
nights have been planned. The first Parents’ Night Out is Friday,
November 30th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The second evening has been
re-scheduled to Saturday, December 15th. The event is open to all students
enrolled at Heritage K-8 Charter in grades K-5. The evening will be chaperoned
by our teachers: Miss Nugent and Mr. Hendry. The cost is $10 for the first
child and $5 for each sibling. There will be pizza, snacks, crafts and
a movie. This is a pre-register event. Please turn your registration sheet
into the office by Friday, November 16th. Registration sheets are available
in the office. Make checks payable to Heritage PAB. If you have any questions,
please email Miss Nugent at snugent@echs.org.
Library News:
Congratulations to Ryan Filipovich and Luis Arsenault (a Heritage graduate)
who recently celebrated birthdays. Thank you to their families for donating
to the library some fabulous books. Come check them out!
4-H:
The Small Animal Project of the Escondido 4-H will have its first meeting
the week of November 12th. We will be talking about our plans for the
year and about choosing, caring for, and showing our animals. Please call
Kathryn at (760) 535-4052 or email to ktaesq@hughes.net for the date,
time and location.
Volunteer badges:
If you have turned in all your volunteer paper work, please stop by the
front office and get your picture taken for your Volunteer I.D. badge.
All volunteers working with students will be required to wear their Volunteer
I.D. badge on while on campus. Please note: If you are driving on a field
trip, you will need to have all your volunteer paper work, including your
current T.B. test on record in the office before the field trip.
Uniforms:
Do you need to buy a long sleeve uniform shirt, a sweatshirt, a windbreaker,
a jacket or a sweater for your student? The office has some uniforms available
to purchase at a discounted price. Just fill out a form found in the office
and turn it in to the office. Within a few days, your order will be ready
for pickup. Payment is due at time of pick up.
Campbell Soup Labels:
Please deposit your Campbell Soup Labels in the office. There is a Campbell
Soup Label container located by the front door.

Our Art teacher, Mrs. Leming now has her art supply room on wheels ready
to go to any classroom.
