Heritage K-8 Charter School
Core Virtue:
“When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt
Holiday:
Monday, October 8th is Columbus Day and the school will be closed.
Free Dress Day:
Heritage K-8 Charter School reached their goal of selling 600 Entertainment
Books, therefore the whole school will receive a free dress day on Friday,
October 12th.
Students must follow Heritage K-8 Student Dress Code.
Wanted:
Do you have welding equipment you can lend to the school maintenance team
for a project they are working on? If so, please contact the office at
(760)737-3111.
Camp Sweatshirts:
Sweatshirts bought on school field trips (Catalina Science Camp, Astro
Camp…) are not part of the school uniform and may not be worn to
school except on free dress day.
Original Works:
Get creative! Previous art projects, awards, or sibling art work can also
be submitted to Original Works. All art projects must be on 8 x 10 1/2
paper. Order forms are
available in the office. All Original Work orders are due Oct 12th.
Piano Club:
There are still openings in the Thursday after-school key board classes.
Hurry and enroll now. Learn basic keyboard techniques in a fun-filled
atmosphere. Classes are held from 2:50 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the multipurpose
room. Only $12.00 per lesson. For more information, please contact Pam
Dawson at (760)480-9521.
P.E. Equipment Wish List:
A pink notebook can be found in the front office containing pictures and
descriptions of special P.E. equipment that would enhance the recess and
P.E. times for all grades on both playgrounds. Please take a look and
see if there is something you may be interested in donating to the school.
Please contact Tina Keester with any questions at (760) 736-0274.
Emergency Gates:
The two emergency gates on campus are not to be used by students or parents
at any time except in case of a true emergency. Please use the front office
for entry and exit of the school. We do not want to allow outsiders any
access to our campus except through the front office.
Your cooperation in this matter is for the safety of all our students.
On time to School:
School starts at 7:50 a.m. If you are not here by 7:50 a.m. you must enter
thru the office and get an admit slip. We know things occasionally happen,
(flat tire, road work, traffic…) therefore we give each student
grace on their first three tardies to school. Each and every tardy after
the initial three will result in the student serving a lunch detention.
Taco Tuesday:
Tuesday, October 9th kicks off our first Taco Tuesday. The taco meal sells
for $3.00 and includes 1 taco, a drink, fruit or fruit cup, and a treat.
A two taco meal sells for $4.00. A three taco meal sells for $5.00.
