Heritage Roller Hockey Team: Don’t miss the roller hockey
action at the Escondido Sports Center. The Heritage White Tigers play
Friday, February 3, at 9:05p.m. and Friday, February 10, at 8:10p.m. Admission
is free!
Recycling: The only items we will be collecting for
our TerraCycle program will be toilet paper/paper towel plastic wrap,
beauty products and toothbrushes, pens, Kashi boxes, and gum packages/wrappers.
HOST INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – "The Experience of a
Lifetime": Escondido Charter High School, (ECHS) is beginning
to enroll international high school students into its Individualized Learning
Program (ILP). They are looking for families who want the rewarding experience
of hosting international students. Families are expected to provide 3
meals per day, transportation to and from school, and a caring environment.
International students stay from 9 -12 months with short term programs
in the summer. Families are compensated $875 per month. For more information,

Spirit Items: T-shirts, water bottles, stickers, license
plate frames, etc. are for sale in the front office. Spirit apparel may
be worn on Fridays with uniform bottoms.
Charger Spirit Days: Charger Spirit Days have concluded
for the year. Please feel free to wear your White Tiger spirit wear.
Jump Rope Club: Bring your smile, and we will teach
you to jump rope! Learn single rope, 2 person 1 rope, Chinese wheel, traveler,
double dutch, and much more! Jump ropes are provided for class and are
available for purchase to take home. Grades 1 through 8 welcome. Classes
are Thursdays, 2:45-3:45p.m., in the MPR. Registration forms are available
in the front office or contact Melinda Everett at 619-851-6880 or Melindae123@yahoo.com.
Club cost is $70 for seven lessons.
Free Dress Day: Tuesday, February 14, will be “Red,
White, & Pink” Day. Students may choose to wear their uniforms
if they do not wish to participate.
Father/Daughter Dance: Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, Brothers,
and Family Friends – here’s your chance to spend a lively
and memorable evening with your favorite girl. Besides the opportunity
to spend some quality one-on-one time with each other, you will enjoy
dinner, games, music, and a live DJ. The date is Friday, February 17,
5-8p.m. in the MPR. Tickets are only $10 per person through Thursday,
February 16, or $15 at the door.
Heritage K8 Lottery: Lottery applications for the 2012/2013
school year for incoming kindergartners or siblings of existing students
will be available in the ECHS main office through March 2, 2012. If you
were in the lottery last year and have not been enrolled in the school,
you must reapply for this lottery. If you have any questions, please email

Homework Stars: Congratulations to this week’s
Homework Stars: Kindergarten student, Hunter Coughlin, in Mrs. Clemens’s
class; 1st graders, Sidney Cloud in Mrs. Metcalf’s class and Bryan
Steffens in Mrs. McKay’s class; and 2nd grade students, Jacob Roner
in Mrs. Kajita’s class and Kacy Vienna in Ms. Ackerman’s class.
They each get to pick a book of their choice from the "Homework Star"
bookcase. Students who complete all homework assignments for the entire
week are entered into a weekly drawing.
Wine Corks Wanted: Ms. Hawkins’s art classes are
collecting real and/or synthetic wine corks for an upcoming art project.
