FLL challenges students to think like scientists and engineers. Alongside adult mentors, FLL teams solve problems using engineering concepts, presentation techniques, and robots. The Teams Teams are comprised of 6-8 students and a coach. Other people such as parents, grandparents, and community members are encouraged to mentor and help the team to success. Students will state a preference for the after-school schedule they want. The coaches will then work to assign students to teams that are equal in size and abilities. The selection process will seek to make each team competitive and will take into account the following: • Balance of experience Note: FLL teams are competitive in nature, and we have limited openings on the teams. During the first two weeks of the season, students will be observed by their coaches. By the third week, coaches will select their final team roster based on commitment, interest, and ability. Teams will be limited to no more than eight students. The Schedule Teams will meet two days a week, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Two teams will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays and two teams will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We would like to have an even number of students on each schedule. The teams will meet in Room 204, upstairs in the 1865 (D) Building. CLICK HERE for more information. CLICK
