Welcome to another great year at Heritage K-8 Charter School.
My name is Tammy Cummings and I am this year’s President of the
Parent Advisory Board. Because you have chosen to send your student
to Heritage, you are a “charter” member of the Parent Advisory
Group! We’re glad you’re here.
The mission of the Heritage K-8 Parent Advisory Board is to encourage
family involvement and to raise funds for the benefit of the students,
staff, and campus. We are very excited about this new school year, and
want to share with you some opportunities for involvement.
Our major fund raisers are:
• Scholastic Book Fair in the Spring
• Family Fun Night in May
Fund raisers the children love are:
• Otter Pops after school during the hot seasons
• Hot Lunches of Taco Tuesdays and Pizza Fridays
• After school enrichment clubs, including jump rope, musical
theater, and Velocity sports
Other ways you can help raise money for our school with just a little
effort is to:
• Sign up with escrip designating Heritage K-8 Charter School
Parent Advisory Board (www.escrip.com)
• Clip your ‘Box Tops For Education’ and Campbell’s
Soup labels
• Bring in your empty print cartridges to recycle
Each area of fun requires volunteers and we hope you will partner with
us as we strive to make this an exciting year. Watch for Parent Advisory
meetings in October, January and April.
